How did you meet? What makes your mate a perfect

match? How was the question popped?

Charity and I meet online through mutual friends, Charity proposed on the 12.04.2020 in NYC as

we were on holidays, we had met up with my cousin who lived there and he showed us around

the city, we had spent all day out wondering around NYC, charity had asked my cousin where

would be the most magical place to propose, as we were sight-seeing and looking back at NYC

and seeing the city lights glow through the dark sky charity got on one knee and proposed

and my cousin captured it all.

How long were you engaged? Who helped plan? Did you hire a planner? What planning

tools did you use? Did The Pink Bride assist you in any way? What turned out to be

your best decision surrounding the big day?

We were engaged and married within the same year “CRAZY”, Alana is a very organized person

so she managed to plan everything with some help from friends, family, and also the guidance

from Krista who was the wedding coordinator at Crown Plaza Hawkesbury who was truly

amazing. Planning tools goes as far as Pinterest and the best decision surrounding the big day

was not to postpone it if possible due to COVID19.

Recap The Big Day: What made you cry? What were the most memorable

moments? What unexpected things happened that were not planned for?

What a day the 19.12.2020 was, I did get a little emotional about the weather as it was raining

and our ceremony was outside and I didn’t want to come to terms with not having it in my

dream location. However, as the time came to the ceremony it stopped for the required time we

needed for the ceremony and it turned out perfect. Things that made me laugh on the day were

actually getting our photos taken as we were all an awkward bunch of people but the photos from the team of Pepper Image

turned out to be perfect. The most memorable moments from our wedding were our first dance,

father-daughter dance and lastly, our wedding scraped through just before COVID restrictions

came back into place so we and all of our 50 guests got to mingle and dance the night away.

What was your vision/theme? How did you bring it to life?

The theme for the wedding was white, light pink, and emerald green and by going with

these colors in my vision it was elegant and it blended well with the nature that is

surrounded at the Crown Plaza Hawkesbury.

Where did you save big? Where did you splurge?

Our wedding budget was 25,000 for 80 guests, unfortunately, due to COVID, our numbers were

limited to 50 people so we saved money in that aspect. Where I splurged the most was for the wedding dress.

What is the best advice you can give a bride and groom planning their wedding?

My best advice to anyone is to take it all in slowly as the day goes by so quickly. But try not to

stress because at the end of the day you get to marry your best friend.
